pornoterrorism is part of an art project by Diana J Torres, who uses performance to challenge and attack the chauvinistic system, and its ideological control over our society. Her shows are loaded with power and rebellion, going totally against the established order, and breaking with any conventional barrier between the audience and the stage. Diana appears naked, and begins to shout out poetry verses – words that spit, shake, insult, and work their way into the core of your being. Highly central to the performances, as well as the use of colour, is the imagery of blood – since it’s a fluid which is symbolic of gender. Diana reaches a climax after masturbation, with two or three women – and even though she doesn’t stop shouting throughout, her come hits everyone: she completely lets herself go in order to reclaim the sexual liberation which to this day is still inhibited by the church, the state, and our bourgeois lives.

Una violentissima lotta per il potere si sta combattendo sul corpo della donna. Gli ultimi fatti di cronaca rappresentano questo conflitto in atto senza neanche la necessità di ricorrere a categorie simboliche. L’agone politico per eccellenza del terzo millennio è fisico, apre una colluttazione con il genere femminile ed è sottoposto alla medesima tensione in ogni parte del mondo. Il corpo assume così su di sé l’aspra responsabilità di fare da barriera all’anti-storia, di costituire un argine alla barbarie. Ma il prezzo da pagare per non retrocedere nella graduatoria (fasulla) della civiltà con cui ci misuriamo tutti i giorni è molto alto. Insostenibilmente alto.

Lo dimostra un’artista guatemalteca come Regina José Galindo che non ha mai esitato a «sacrificare» la sua pelle per non far vendere quella degli altri….
